“Digitizing the Art Market –
Mapping Stakeholder
Value in 3D Technology Adoption”
Our joint contribution, i.e. academic paper authored by Ms. Clarissa A. Gambuzza and Matevz Domajnko, CEO at Verus Digital, was presented by Ms. Clarissa A. Gambuzza. She is now a Ph.D. Student and we are proud to say that she was a former Erasmus trainee at Verus Digital where she gathered vital experiences and knowledge in the realm of 3D digitization of Art and Artefacts.
The 29th EVA Congress in Berlin took place on March 18th - 20th, 2026;
EVA stands for Electronic Media and Visual Arts.
The research explores how galleries, artists, collectors, and other stakeholders perceive and adopt 3D technologies — from digitization workflows to immersive experiences. The goal has been to map not only technological potential, but also the practical, emotional, and strategic value behind adoption.
The Audience Reception was incredibly positively.
During the Q&A session, engagement was high, especially regarding:
How galleries are responding to new digital workflows
The structured mapping of possibilities for 3D adoption
The methodology used to evaluate stakeholder needs
and barriers
Several attendees were looking for deeper discussions on multiple topics having created a truly energizing atmosphere.
The following Key Questions & Discussion Points were highlighted:
🔸 Challenges and concerns
Participants were curious about the main barriers identified in the research —
including resistance to change and limited familiarity with 3D tools and technologies
across certain segments of the art market.
🔸 Data security
A recurring question was whether stakeholders are concerned about digital
asset protection. This topic remains highly relevant, especially as digitization accelerates.
🔸 NFTs and relevance today
While NFTs were considered in the research, the findings suggest they are currently less
central than broader, more practical 3D technology adoption trends in galleries and
institutions. This presentation was a meaningful milestone to continue the transformation
of the industry sector by this new technology in the art world.
