What’s new?

As 2024 is drawing to a close we have some thrilling announcements to make. We started expanding our scanning-as-a-service offers and thus managed to collaborate with numerous amazing institutions. More on that in our next newsletter.

We’re also mid-development of a blender add-on and several custom hardware modules for challenging object shapes and surface materials to make the CultArm3D system even more versatile and further simplify the digitization process.

In spring we collaborated with ArcTron to digitize the Gold Hat of Ezelsdorf/Buch, which was then 3D-printed, bringing a new level of sensation the the visitors of the Germanisches Nationalmuseum.

Our Blender add-on enables CultArm3D users to create photorealistic animations. It helps with creating PBR materials and features lighting presets for different types of objects.

We’ve expanded our collaboration with Universal Robots, resulting in the new FT20 version of the CultArm3D system, which is capable of scanning artifacts with a height of over two meters.

A new “Urpferdchen“ fossile was discovered at Grube Messel only last year and we were asked to digitize it. Now the archeological find can be studied by researchers worldwide in our viewer.
